Today's theme: When They're Home


What is the house like when your loved ones are home?


Here is Naomi having some juice with 'friends'...ahhh, so nice and quiet....





then Daddy comes home...
and the volume level in the house goes wa-----y up!
Shrieks and giggles everywhere. (Mommy needs some Advil please.)


(This play session ended with the two girls bumping heads on accident and crying...typical of how most play sessions end in this house!)

Today's theme: When They're Gone


Tonight, came home from a birthday party, put the girls' down for the night and folded the laundry..
Oh yes, don't be jealous.


Folding laundry is one of those things we cannot do while the kids are awake.
Noelle just rolls around in the heap of clothes like a pig in mud, and Naomi "folds" everything for us...into wrinkly tidy piles. Lovely.


So it has become one of those things we do together while watching TV. 
I am thankful that Tim never complains about it and sometimes just does the laundry on his own accord - is that normal? I guess I should get him a medal or something (mental note).

Didn't bring my camera out today b/c of the rain (I know, wimpy me) but here's my take on going out...

Today was my day at school so not a lot of time to take photos with the girls...
So here is my best shot, cuddling with my hubby...ok, actually fake-cuddling b/c this was shot with a self-timer. :)


P.S. Can you see the toys under the couch? They have probably been there for months...oh, the things you discover when you put your camera on the ground and shoot!

Today's theme: Kiss


Getting a shot of the girls giving each other kisses was not happening today - have you ever tried to force affection between your children for a cute shot? It doesn't work. Well, without candy as a bribe, it doesn't work. 


So here is little Noelle kissing her beloved bunny. 


She has a true affection for all things stuffed...I foresee massive piles of stuffed animals in our future...

Processed these using Pioneer Woman's "PW B&W" action which is by far, my favorite B&W action to use. I always adjust it and use it in moderation but love the effect it has.

What are you dreaming of lately?


For my daughter, she loves imagining things (for instance, while I was taking photos, I was instructed to call her "Thumbelina") and the sky is the limit with her imagination. She can't read yet either - although it looks like she can below -  but that didn't stop her from making up the story as she went along.


She inspires me to dream bigger and to ask the question, "Why not?"
